WELCOME TO
FAITH NOT FEAR

You know what is scary? Being vulnerable. Being transparent with people. Many of us have walls built around us. We do not let the real us come out and don’t let anyone in. I have been guilty of this myself. It’s easy to let those hard years make us cold, hard and callus. But you know what is even more terrifying? Living our whole lives and getting to the end and wishing we had been more open and honest with people and realizing that fear controlled a majority of our lives.

We need to let people see the real us…the good, the bad, the ugly, like King David. King David was a man after God’s own heart even when he fell short! People need to see where we have walked with Jesus and where we have stumbled. People need to see where our imperfections and sins are where Jesus covers us with His blood.  We don’t need to act like everything is perfect because that would be a lie, and it would be like nailing Jesus to the cross all over again.

I don’t know of anyone that was more vulnerable than Jesus himself. So why would He expect anything less from us.

Many have grown cold and heartless now days. Jesus warned us about this, but we are called to be an encouragement to our fellow brothers and sisters.  We need to get out of our comfort zones and have boldness for Jesus that others can see. We need to give encouragement that is grounded in vulnerability and transparency with the help of the Holy Spirit. Both are not an easy task because both require us to let our guards down when so many of us have our walls up. But when we let those walls fall and show people the real us, the ones that are suffering, hurt, broken, we come to realize we are not so different after all. But actually, quite alike and that’s where we all come to the feet of Jesus. Jesus, the one that comforts us in a world that is hurting and the only one that can satisfy our souls that cannot otherwise be satisfied here on this earth.

As ambassadors of Christ, He is calling us to rise to another level in our faith. He wants us to not only be bold in our faith for Him but also be VULNERABLE and TRANSPARENT IN HUMLITY with others around us. And being transparent and vulnerable can just be plain scary!

Please join me in living a life of fearlessness! I know it’s not easy. God never said following Him would be easy. I hope this becomes a place that we can laugh, cry, be silly and be open. Let’s be vulnerable, bold and transparent together. Let’s lift each other up in our weaknesses as well as our strengths and find encouragement.  ABOVE ALL ELSE, I hope it is a place that you can feel the love of Jesus and the Holy Spirit working in your life.  I pray that this is a place that God can help turn your fear into faith.  It’s the greatest enjoyment in the world and such an adventure in itself if you truly follow and have a relationship with THE ONE that created you and loves you the most. So, join me!  Let’s walk out in faith together in koinonia (fellowship) and share our stories and be an encouragement.  The world needs to hear them.

S0, that being said…

COME ALIVE DRY BONES! DO NOT FEAR!  Rise up children of God and live out the life God intended you to live. Stop living in fear. Stop worrying about what people say about you, what people think about you. Things you cannot control. Aren’t you tired? Tired of trying to fit into a world that will never accept you and you will never be good enough for. It’s time to know who you are. You are a child of God.  “Fear not for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are mine (Isaiah 43:).  Stop living in fear and hiding behind pride. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14)! You were made with great reverence, love and respect and made to be uniquely set apart. Stop listening and living out the lies that the enemy throws at you. Stop accepting it. It’s time to put on the full armor of God and live the life God intended you to live! Stand firm in your faith, put on that belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God (Ephesians 6: 10-18)!

” For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of LOVE, POWER and SOUND MIND.”    – 2 Tim 1:7

NOW LET’S START LIVING IT!!

LOVE

Full, complete love is found only through God and how He gave up His Son on the cross for our sins. There is no greater love. When we understand that love then we too can love others the same as God loves us. Jesus said it best,” There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friend.” – John 15:13 He was talking about Himself and are we willing to follow?

POWER

When we understand who God is and we get to know His character and love and what His Son did on the cross for us, then we are given the Holy Spirit ( Power ) to overcome anything. We can overcome any obstacle there is, whether it be fear, disappointment, loneliness, addiction, etc. It’s true freedom.

MIND

Since we now understand more of God’s love and power than we can now start to  understand God’s heart. We think of things that the world does not think about. Our hearts break for what breaks Gods. We can identify with grace and mercy that the world does not understand. Our actions go along with our words. Lastly, God wants us to share the love, power and mind of Himself to others in BOLD loving faith.

Thank you for supporting Faith Not Fear and making a difference in children’s lives!

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like minded having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.
